I recently attended the National Association of Teachers of Singing National Conference in Knoxville, TN. It was an amazing several days of learning, geeking out, and meeting some of my vocal teacher heroes. One of the coolest bits of information I gleaned was from the workshop on how AI can actually *help* musicians!
Here are a few examples: Do you struggle to match pitch? There's an app for that... Erol Singer's Studio Need to improve your sight reading? Earmaster Need to remove a voice to create an educational (not for performance) karaoke track? moises.ai A way to transcribe music into sheet music! klang.io Isn't this AMAZING?!?!? I'm learning to embrace new technology and see just how far we can go!

One detail I’d add for students is to separate pitch transcription from readable notation. A tool can identify notes but still need manual rhythm and meter cleanup. At PureMIDI we route a clean solo line or stem through Basic Pitch and a full mix through MT3, then review and edit the MIDI. We also state the limits clearly: dense mixes need correction, and there is no dedicated kit-aware drum model. That model-versus-use-case distinction could be useful whenever you update this teacher-friendly list.
